For operators

Add locations, not trucks.

Kava OS is vending operator software for the fleet you already own. A $349 retrofit connects a legacy machine in about 22 minutes, your processor stays your processor, your data exports whenever you want, and Kava Agent drafts tomorrow's pick lists before your drivers wake up.

Built for operators who'd rather not rip and replace

Retrofit first

Kava Link L2 plugs into the MDB bus and DEX port of legacy machines. $349, a median 22-minute install, and no modification beyond mounting.

Your processor, your rates

Bring your own processor at no markup, or use Kava Pay at interchange-plus 0.35% + $0.05. Shoppers never pay a convenience fee.

Data that leaves when you do

REST API, webhooks and CSV or Parquet export, with connectors for Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks. Your sales history is never held hostage.

Mixed fleets, one console

MDB machines, DEX/UCS audit data, Kava Coolers, kiosks, lockers and micro-stores, all in the same Kava OS console and driver app.

An agent that does the work

Kava Agent drafts pick lists, re-sequences routes, proposes prices and opens service tickets, within rules you set.

Roles for the whole crew

Owner, manager, driver, technician, finance and brand-partner roles, so everyone sees what they need and nothing else.

A2Retrofit

Upgrade the route you have. Replace machines when the math says so.

Most of your fleet works fine; it just can't talk. Kava Link L2 sits behind the bill validator panel, draws under 2 W from the machine's MDB power (24–42 V DC), and connects over LTE-M or NB-IoT with Wi-Fi fallback. An external antenna kit comes in the box for machines buried in basements.

Once it's in, the machine reports sales and inventory in real time, takes remote price changes, passes cashless through to your reader, and reports temperature and door events. Across 8Kava deployments, average revenue per device rises 18% in the first 90 days after a retrofit, mostly from cashless acceptance and fewer stockouts. Our retrofit vs. replace guide shows when a new machine is the better call.

  • Median install: 22 minutes per machine.
  • Works with MDB-compliant machines and readers, and DEX/UCS audit data.
  • Kava Link is included in the software price on VaaS fleets.

A4A day on Autopilot

What an operator's day looks like with Kava Agent

An example day, with pick lists set to Approve and fresh-food markdowns set to Auto within guardrails.

  1. 4:10 a.m.

    Pick lists are ready

The agent has drafted the day's pre-kitting lists from overnight sales and forecasts. They wait for one tap of approval.

  2. 4:30 a.m.

    The warehouse kits by route

Each tote is built for one machine, so drivers stop counting slots on site.

  3. 6:00 a.m.

    Routes leave re-sequenced

Machines that don't need a visit drop off the route, and one at risk of a stockout gets added.

  4. 10:40 a.m.

    A compressor falters

A service ticket opens, gets prioritized and is dispatched to the nearest technician before the location host calls.

  5. 3:00 p.m.

    Fresh food gets marked down

Sandwiches that expire tonight drop in price, inside a ±15% limit and never below cost. Every change is logged and can be rolled back with one click.

  6. 8:00 p.m.

    A plain-English question

"Which of Tuesday's stops could move to Thursday without a stockout?" The answer comes back with the numbers behind it.

How many of tomorrow's stops are visits to full machines?

Most operators grow by adding a route: another truck, another driver, another set of 5 a.m. problems. The operator in our Midwest case study added 140 locations without one, because drivers stopped visiting machines that didn't need them. If every machine on your routes could report its stock tonight, how many of tomorrow's stops would survive?

C1FAQ

Operator FAQ

Will Kava Link work with my machines?

Kava Link works with MDB-compliant machines and readers and with DEX/UCS audit data. It mounts behind the bill validator panel with no modification beyond mounting. Send us your model list and we'll confirm before you buy.

Do I have to switch processors?

No. Keep your current processor at no markup, or move to Kava Pay at interchange-plus 0.35% + $0.05 if the math works for you. Either way, shoppers never see a convenience fee.

What if we want to leave?

Monthly plans have no long-term contract. Your data exports as CSV or Parquet, or through the API, whenever you want it, including on the way out. Our lock-in checklist lists what to ask any vendor.

How much control does Kava Agent have?

Only what you give it. Each action type is set to Suggest, Approve or Auto, with guardrails such as a ±15% price limit, and the agent watches your fleet for 14 days before it proposes autonomous actions.

Can I try it before committing?

Yes. Kava OS Pro has a 30-day free trial on up to 10 devices. Legacy machines need a Kava Link module to connect.
