Kava Vend V4

No drop, no charge. It knows before anyone kicks the glass.

Kava Vend V4 is a smart vending machine with 40 spiral selections, a 21.5" touchscreen and an optional chilled zone for fresh items. A drop sensor watches every vend, and if nothing lands in the bin, the refund is automatic.

A1Guaranteed vend

Guaranteed vend is a sensor, not a slogan.

Spiral machines fail in a familiar way. The coil turns, the bag of chips leans against the glass, and nothing drops. On a legacy machine the shopper loses the money and the operator loses the customer, usually for good.

Kava Vend V4 pairs a drop sensor in the delivery area with motor telemetry from every spiral. If the coil completes its turn and no drop is detected, the sale is refunded automatically: no phone call, no refund envelope, no note taped to the glass. The same telemetry tells Kava OS which spiral is misbehaving, so the fix rides along on the next route instead of waiting for the next complaint.

  • Automatic refund whenever no drop is detected.
  • Per-spiral motor telemetry flags jams and tired motors.
  • Failed vends are logged against the selection, not just the machine.
A2The screen

A 21.5-inch touchscreen that pays its way

Browse, don't squint

Shoppers browse all 40 selections on screen instead of reading slot codes through the glass and hoping they typed the right one.

Pay the way the site pays

EMV contactless cards, mobile wallets, the Kava app or QR code, employee badges and payroll deduct, the same options as Kava Cooler.

Prices change from the console

Update a price in Kava OS and the machine reflects it. Nobody drives out with a label maker, and Dynamic Pricing can do it on a schedule.

The screen earns between sales

When nobody is buying, the screen runs retail media campaigns measured against purchases on the same machine.

What install looks like

  1. Check the spot

We confirm a path at least 39 inches wide from the dock, plus the outlet and the signal, before the machine ships.

  2. Place and connect

An 8Kava technician or a vetted field partner levels the machine, powers it and connects it to Kava OS.

  3. Load the planogram

All 40 selections are mapped in Kava OS with prices, payment methods and any employer subsidies.

  4. Let it learn

On Pro, item-level forecasts build from real sell-through and turn into pre-kitted pick lists for each visit.

Think about itSlot B3

How many of your slow sellers are just stuck?

On a machine without drop sensing, a jammed spiral looks exactly like a product nobody wants. Sales stop, the item gets cut from the planogram, and the real problem stays in the machine. Before you delist anything, ask whether you've ever had a way to tell the difference between a bad product and a bad coil.

C1FAQ

Smart vending machine questions

What happens if a product gets stuck?

The drop sensor sees that nothing landed, and the sale is refunded automatically. The spiral's motor telemetry is logged, and Kava OS flags that selection so the next service visit brings the fix.

Can the V4 sell fresh food?

Yes, with the optional chilled zone, which suits packaged fresh items such as sandwiches and yogurt. For a full fresh-food assortment with multi-item baskets, a Kava Cooler is usually the better format.

I already own spiral machines. Do I need a V4?

Not necessarily. If your machines still vend reliably, a $349 Kava Link adds telemetry, remote pricing and cashless passthrough in a median 22 minutes. Buy a V4 when you want the touchscreen, drop-sensed refunds and one less machine to retrofit later.

Does the V4 keep working without internet?

Yes. Like every 8Kava device, it buffers up to 72 hours of transactions offline and syncs when the connection returns. Shoppers keep buying, and your reports catch up on their own.

Fewer refund envelopes. Fuller spirals.

Tell us about the site or the route. We'll show you where a V4 earns its floor space, and where a retrofit or a cooler would do better.
