Kava PPE Dispenser P1
Gloves stop disappearing when every pair has a badge attached.
Kava PPE P1 is a PPE vending machine for plants, warehouses and job sites. Workers badge in for gloves, safety glasses, earplugs, respirators, cut sleeves, batteries and small tools. Per-role and per-shift limits, cost-center allocation and low-stock reorders run in the background.

An open supply cabinet has exactly one limit: what's left in it.
In most facilities, PPE lives in an open cabinet or a supervisor's office. Both fail the same way. Gloves walk out by the box, the night shift finds the shelf empty, and someone spends Friday afternoon counting and reordering.
Kava PPE P1 replaces the cabinet key with a badge. Each worker's role and shift set what they can take and how often, every dispense is charged to a cost center, and the cabinet asks for more stock before it runs out. Supervisors stop being the supply cabinet and go back to supervising.
- Badge access tied to role and shift.
- Cost-center allocation on every dispense.
- Low-stock auto-reorder through ERP and procurement connectors.
What the P1 lets you set
Per-role limits
A welder and a picker need different PPE. Limits by role mean each badge sees the right items in the right quantities.
Per-shift limits
Cap dispenses per shift, so one shift can't empty the allowance before the next one arrives.
Cost centers
Every dispense is charged to a cost center, so the PPE bill splits by department without a spreadsheet.
Usage reports
Consumption by role, shift, item and badge. The outlier shows up before it becomes a budget line.
Auto-reorder
When an item runs low, Kava OS raises the reorder through connectors for SAP, Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
Coils and lockers
Coils for small, high-turn items like earplugs. Locker doors for bulky or costly ones like respirators and tools.

PPE and food on one platform
3 Kava PPE Dispensers, 6 Kava Coolers and a Kava Kiosk micro-market, all on Kava OS.
- Month 2
Stock-outs end
PPE stock-outs on shift fell to zero after month two and stayed there.
- Month 6
Consumption down, spend up
PPE consumption fell 24% with per-role limits. Supervisors spent 5 fewer hours a week on supply cabinets, and breakroom spend per worker rose 38% after fresh food arrived.
Gloves stopped disappearing, and third shift finally has the same food options as first shift.
What does a pair of gloves cost when nobody's counting?
The price on the purchase order is the smallest part. Add the gloves taken home, the boxes opened for one pair, the supervisor's hour hunting for stock, and the shift that ran without cut sleeves because the shelf was bare. One distribution center cut PPE consumption 24% just by putting limits on badges. How much of your PPE budget goes to things nobody needed? Our shrink taxonomy is a good place to start counting.
PPE vending machine questions
How are limits set?
In Kava OS, by role and by shift. A role defines which items a badge can see and how many of each it can take per shift. Changes apply from the console, without a visit to the cabinet.
Does it work with the badges we already use?
Access on the P1 is badge-based. We confirm compatibility with your site's badges during the site survey, before anything ships, and map badge holders to roles and cost centers during setup.
Can it reorder through our procurement system?
Yes. Low-stock auto-reorder runs through Kava OS connectors for ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics. Details on Integrations & API.
Who restocks the dispenser?
Your stores team, your supplier, or us under Managed Operations. Kava OS builds the refill list by item and by cabinet from actual dispenses, so a refill is one trip with the right cartons.
Can the same badge buy food in the breakroom?
Employee badges are a payment option on Kava Coolers and Kava Vend, and payroll deduct is available. The distribution center above runs PPE and a fresh-food breakroom on one platform.
