Vending management software API, webhooks and export
REST API
Read and write devices, items, planograms, prices, sales, inventory, tickets and routes over HTTPS.
Webhooks
Pushed events for sales, low stock, device offline, temperature excursions, held-open doors and ticket changes.
Bulk export
CSV for finance and spreadsheets, Parquet for analysts and data warehouses. Everything, whenever you ask.
Connectors
Prebuilt connectors for ERP and procurement, HRIS and payroll, identity, data warehouses and team chat.
Single sign-on
SSO via SAML or OIDC on Enterprise, so access follows your identity provider instead of a separate password list.
Roles
Owner, manager, driver/restocker, technician, finance and read-only brand partner. Integrations get only the access their job needs.

Scheduled file, REST API or webhook?
| Question | Scheduled file | REST API | Webhook |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Totals that close on a cycle | Reading or changing data on demand | Reacting the moment something happens |
| Freshness | On your schedule | When you ask | As events occur |
| Usually owned by | Finance or HR | Data or IT team | Operations or IT |
| Example | Payroll deduct totals per pay period | Yesterday's sales into your BI model | A temperature excursion posted to a Teams channel |
Warehouse exports to Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks use the same CSV and Parquet formats as manual exports.
From a warm cooler to a closed work order
Event
A cooler stays above 41 °F for 30 minutes and locks itself to protect the food.
Push
Kava OS sends a signed temperature-excursion webhook to your endpoint, with the device, site, readings and lock state.
Route
Your maintenance system opens a work order, and a copy posts to the facilities channel in Slack or Microsoft Teams.
Write back
When the work order closes, your system updates the Kava OS ticket through the REST API.
Retry
If your endpoint is down, delivery retries with backoff, so a maintenance window doesn't drop events.
Leaving should be boring.
The test of an open platform isn't the API reference. It's what happens on the day you want to go. With Kava OS, your sales history, planograms, prices, temperature logs and ticket records export as CSV or Parquet, in formats any analyst can open without our software.
Monthly plans carry no long-term contract and software has no setup fee. That's deliberate. We'd rather keep customers because the forecasts are good than because the data is hard to move.
- Full exports in open formats, any time.
- Your own processor stays yours, at no markup.
- Legacy machines stay yours too: Kava Link doesn't modify them beyond mounting.
If you cancelled every vendor tomorrow, which of your data would you still have?
Sales history, temperature logs, subsidy records. Some of it is the only proof you have for an audit or a contract renewal. Ask every vendor, us included, for a full export before you sign. Then open it. If you can't read it without their software, you never really had it.
API and integration questions
Which plan includes API access?
API access is part of Autopilot at $69 per device per month. Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, custom data residency, custom integrations and volume pricing from 250 devices. See pricing.
Can I export all of my data?
Yes. Sales, inventory, prices, planograms, temperature logs and tickets export as CSV or Parquet, and the same formats feed Snowflake, BigQuery and Databricks. You don't need our software to read the files.
Are these official partnerships?
No. We build and maintain connectors for these systems, but listing a product doesn't imply a partnership, certification or endorsement by its owner.
Where is my data hosted?
In US regions, encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256. Enterprise customers can set custom data residency.
What if the system I need isn't listed?
Most teams start with the REST API and webhooks, which cover any system that can receive an HTTPS call or read a file. Enterprise plans include custom integrations built with our team.
Where to go next
Ask for the export first.
We'll walk your IT team through the API, the webhooks and the connector for the system you care about most, then hand you a sample export to open.
