Managed Operations
Your people get a store. Your team gets nothing new to do.
With 8Kava's managed micro market services, we stock, merchandise, clean, repair and report on your coolers, kiosks and lockers. Visits are scheduled by the same forecasts that run our software, so shelves stay full and your facilities team never touches a restock.

Six jobs that move off your team's list
Stocking
Restock visits planned from item-level forecasts and pre-kitted pick lists, so the van brings what each unit will sell, not a guess.
Merchandising
The planogram tuned to your site: what the night shift buys, what sells before a holiday, what never moves. Slow items get replaced, not left to expire.
Cleaning
Glass, shelves, handles and door seals cleaned on a schedule set by traffic, not by the calendar.
Service and repair
Every unit watched by the 24/7 NOC, with a 4-hour remote response target for critical issues and on-site repair on our field-service terms.
Food safety
Coolers lock themselves after 30 minutes above 41 °F, and temperature logs are kept automatically, ready for your audits.
Reporting
A monthly summary of sales, top sellers, waste, uptime, service events and every change we made, with live dashboards if you want them.
A managed planogram is never finished.
The opening assortment is a hypothesis. Within weeks the sales data shows which items the 6 a.m. crowd buys, which salads go unsold on Fridays, and what sells out before lunch. We change the mix to match, then change it again when the season, the shift pattern or the building's occupancy moves.
Expiry-aware pricing marks down short-dated food before it becomes waste, which has cut fresh-food waste 33% across 8Kava deployments. Forecasting keeps the right items in stock, which has cut out-of-stock events 41%. You see the results in the monthly report; you don't have to manage either.
- Assortment reviewed against sell-through, not habit.
- Markdowns on short-dated food, within guardrails you approve.
- Requests from your people folded into the next planogram.

What happens while nobody's watching
Forecasts update
The day's sales refresh item-level forecasts, and tomorrow's pick lists are pre-kitted by unit and by shelf.
The route adapts
Visits are re-sequenced around stockouts and service tickets. Pre-kitting and dynamic routing cut service visits per device 27% across 8Kava deployments.
Restock, rotate, clean
Fresh items rotated by date, shelves restocked to plan, glass and door seals cleaned, anything odd photographed for the ticket.
The NOC watches
Temperature, doors, payments and connectivity are monitored 24/7/365, so a problem is known before a host calls.
You get the summary
Sales, waste, uptime, temperature compliance and what we changed, in one report.

What the software does for a managed program
Every format we sell, we can also run
Smart Coolers
Fresh food behind a locking door, restocked to forecast.
Micro-Market Kiosks
Open shelves and self-checkout, merchandised to sell-through.
Smart Lockers
Hot meal and order pickup, loaded on schedule.
Autonomous Micro-Stores
A 700-SKU walk-in store, kept full without a cashier.
Students buy breakfast at 1 a.m. during finals. The cooler restocks itself before the morning rush.
How many hours does your facilities team give to vending?
Count them honestly: the restock complaints, the refund envelopes, the vendor calls, the jammed coil before the board meeting. Then ask who in your building should be doing that work. If the answer is nobody on your payroll, the question isn't whether to hand it off. It's who will do it well and show you the numbers.
Managed operations questions
What does the host need to do?
Provide the space, power and network access, and tell us who to call about building access. That's it. Your people buy; we do everything that keeps the shelves full and clean.
Who actually stocks the units?
8Kava in the Colorado Front Range, and vetted, 8Kava-trained field partners in other served metros. Both work from the same Kava OS pick lists, planograms and checklists.
Can we subsidize food for employees?
Yes. Employer subsidies and payroll deduct are configured in Payments & Loyalty, and we run the program day to day. You set the policy and get the report.
How is it priced?
Per program, after a Site Intelligence assessment, because a 24/7 hospital and a weekday office need different visit schedules. Hardware can be bought or provided on VaaS, so a managed program can start with zero capital.
What do the monthly reports include?
Sales and top sellers, waste and markdowns, stockouts, uptime, temperature compliance, service events, and the planogram changes we made with the reasoning behind each. Live dashboards in Kava OS are available alongside the report.
Where to go next
Hand us the pantry. Keep the credit.
Tell us the site and the people it serves. We'll propose the hardware, the visit schedule and the reporting, and run all of it.
